Tom Mullen closes in on 200,000 streams on spotify

Tom Mullen currently has over 184,000 streams on Spotify, with almost half of those for his latest album, Into the Twilight. He is planning a new album in 2027 with release date still TBD.

Into the Twilight also received heavy rotation on terrestrial radio during 2021, with the singles “You Were Right, Mr. Spock” and “Invisible Hand” played on more than 150 stations across the United States.

“I’m very excited to have had so many people hear my music,” said Mullen. “Platforms like Spotify have been criticized by some artists for inhibiting their ability to sell albums, but they have opened up access to millions of listeners that independent artists like myself could never hoped to have reached under the old distribution channels. I think they’ve been a net positive.”

Mullen continues to do his solo acoustic act in Western New York regularly in Western New York and hopes to tour in support of the new album in 2027.

“I enjoy playing music for people, whether the venue is large or small, and whether I’m playing my own music or crowd favorites,” added Mullen. “But if the reception to the new album is as good as to the last, I’ll definitely be playing live in the areas where interest is the highest.”
